Description: In 1947 she became the first North American
to win the European and World Figure Skating Championships, making
her a Canadian national heroine. At the 1948 Winter Olympics in St.
Moritz, Switzerland she became the first Canadian to win the figure
skating gold medal. Dressed in pink skating outfit with tiny blue
polka dots and marabou trim. Complete with beret. White oil cloth
ice skates.
Marks:
head: very hard to read RELIABLE/MADE IN CANADA
Condition: Good original condition. Face has generalized
faint crazing. Dress fabric has a couple of thin spots on waist and
back shoulder. Not bad for her 60 years of age.
