Description: Foxy Grandpa goes back to the Sunday funny papers when his peers were Buster Brown and Happy Hooligan. Created by Charles Edward "Bunny" Schultze, he debutted in January 1900 in The New York Herald.

He has a paper mache shoulder head with sculpted features of jolly-faced old man, white brows and side-burns, hinged jaw that opens and closed when stomach bellows is squeezed, yellow paper mache hat and original cotton costume, painted shoes and socks.


Marks:

Condition: Excellent - original costume. He does have a very minor fabric break ( see closeup ) where the corner of the bellows has caused some damage. Considering his age, he is excellent.
